Due to cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine, the level of generation at solar power plants has decreased.
As of this morning, 545 settlements in eight regions have been completely or partially cut off in Ukraine due to fighting, bad weather and technical reasons. Ukrenergo reported this on Tuesday, September 10.
So, due to shelling, there were new power outages in Donetsk, Kharkov, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
“Due to bad weather, 32 settlements were de-energized in the morning – 23 in the Dnepropetrovsk region and 9 in the Zaporozhye region. For technical reasons, there were de-energized consumers in the Dnepropetrovsk region,” said the message.
Ukrenergo does not predict the use of blackout schedules. But electricity consumption is gradually increasing – today, at 9:30, its level is 1.4% higher than at the same time yesterday.
At the same time, due to cloudy weather in most regions, the level of generation in solar power plants has decreased today.
There is a need to conserve energy consumption throughout the day. Please do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 8:00 to 22:00, power engineers ask.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 15,157 MWh, with a peak power of up to 1,211 MW in individual hours.
Export is not in progress and is not expected.
Let’s recall that after the massive Russian attack on August 26, a severe lockdown was introduced in Ukraine. The light situation has only improved in recent days.
It was previously known that the Russian attack on August 26 disrupted the operation of two nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Four power units are disconnected from the network.
Details of the incident at one of the nuclear power plants in Ukraine also became known, due to which its power was reduced.
