A massive drone attack on the Russian Federation occurred last night, September 10.
In particular, drones attacked four urban districts of the Moscow region. Drones hit several houses, dozens of apartments were damaged. In particular, as a result of a nighttime UAV attack in Ramenskoye, three people were injured and had to be hospitalized. A 46-year-old woman died. This was stated by the Governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov.
The wreckage of the UAV crashed at the Zhukovsky airfield, causing a fire. Vnukovo Airport was closed due to wreckage on the runway. Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports also stopped operating.
Russian authorities write that over the night, air defense forces allegedly shot down more than 140 Ukrainian UAVs in eight regions. Drones were reported in Moscow, Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol, Voronezh, Tula and Kaluga regions and Krasnodar Krai in Russia.
Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz said that 59 drones were shot down in the skies above the region. In Tula Region, two UAVs were “shot down” after they crashed on the territory of one of the fuel and energy complex facilities. Kursk Region Governor Alexey Smirnov said that 12 drones were shot down.
Let us recall that on September 2, the Russian city of Tver was attacked by unknown drones, and the drones’ target was the local military airfield “Migalovo”, which is included in the State Register of Airfields and Heliports of Civil Aviation of the Russian Federation. An aviation squadron of An-22 aircraft is based at this airfield.
