According to Sobyanin, the first UAV was allegedly shot down in the urban district of Lyubertsy.
Subsequently, the mayor of Moscow reported on two more UAVs, which were said to have been shot down in the Ramensky urban district.
Sobyanin also said that, according to preliminary data, no one was injured or killed in the area where the debris fell. Emergency service specialists are working at the scene.
According to him, all seven drones were flying towards Moscow.
According to the Russian Telegram channel Mash, the drones allegedly tried to attack the Moscow Zhukovsky airport. Local residents reported at least six explosions heard during the attack.
Russian media reported that Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports were closed, and the Carpet plan was announced.
On Sunday night and in the morning, unidentified aircraft-type drones attacked Moscow and 14 regions of the Russian Federation.
