Border guards detained a 28-year-old resident of Rivne region, who married his 40-year-old mother-in-law in order to go abroad. The woman has a disability group I.
The press service of the State Border Service reported this on September 9. According to the newlyweds, they were going to Warsaw to treat the woman’s eyesight. They defended their version to the last.
However, the border guards discovered that the husband’s real wife had left the country the day before. Her relatives followed her.
Unsuccessfully. They tried their luck a second time, at another checkpoint, but their expectations were not met here either, the border guards noted.
A report on the discovery of signs of a criminal offence was sent to the National Police.
