Drone debris was found outside populated areas;
In the Romanian county of Tulcea, near the border with Ukraine, on September 9, debris from a Russian drone was discovered. This was reported by the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that specialists from the Romanian Ministry of Defense, intelligence service and Ministry of Internal Affairs “collected fragments of a Russian drone” around the village of Periprava. They will be submitted for review “in accordance with legal procedures.”
“In the near future, searches will also take place around the village of Karaorman, where, according to reports, there is another suspected fall site,” the statement said.
According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, the wreckage was found outside populated areas, and no infrastructure was damaged.
Let’s remember that in July, fragments of Russian attack drones of the shahed type were discovered on Romanian territory, with which Russia attacked Ukraine and violated Romanian airspace.
Later, the Romanian Ministry of Defense denied the information spread on social networks that Romanian Gepard anti-aircraft guns shot down Russian suicide drones.
