Ukrainian defenders repelled a missile and drone attack last night.
On the night of September 9, the enemy attacked with three Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Kursk region of Russia and the occupied Donbas. The enemy also launched eight Shahed-type attack UAVs from the Kursk region. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
Air defense was in operation in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Sumy and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and six Shaheds were shot down.
In addition, two enemy drones were lost in location on the territory of Ukraine. This probably happened under the influence of electronic warfare systems. Also, as a result of active counteraction, one of the Kh-59/69 missiles did not reach its target.
Recall that on the night of September 9, the Russians launched drones from the Kursk region of Russia. After midnight, these loitering munitions entered Kyiv in several waves. This was the fifth air attack on the capital since the beginning of September. Air defense destroyed all the “Shaheds” on the approaches to the city.
