Moscow and Tehran will continue cooperation in all sectors, including “the most sensitive ones,” assured Dmitry Peskov.
Russia and Iran will develop cooperation for the interests of their own citizens. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on Monday, September 9, commenting on information that Tehran may supply ballistic missiles to Moscow.
“We have seen this message. Not all the time such information corresponds to the truth. Iran is our important partner. We are developing trade and economic relations. We are developing our cooperation and dialogue with all of possible sectors, including the most sensitive ones. And we will continue to do this in the interests of the citizens of our two countries,” Peskov said at a briefing.
Earlier, the media reported that Iran had sent short-range ballistic missiles to Russia. And the other day, Iranian MP Ahmad Bakhshaesh Ardestani admitted that his country has indeed equipped Moscow with ballistic missiles.
In this regard, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called on Iran to refrain from transferring any type of weapons and military equipment to Russia.
