Ukraine has managed to reduce the difference in the number of shells used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian invaders at the front.
The enemy still has an advantage in ammunition. However, the proportions are now one to two or one to two and a half. A year ago, this figure was one to six, and sometimes even one to ten. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, CNN reports.
According to him, the Ukrainian military compensates for the difference in ammunition with drones. The Ukrainian defense industry is constantly working to improve drones and increase their efficiency, control system, as well as methods and techniques of use.
We are trying to maximize our technical advantage over the enemy in order to neutralize their advantage in the number of personnel and weapons, noted Syrsky.
The commander-in-chief added that the best Ukrainian units of unmanned systems are currently concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Russians have concentrated their main offensive in the Donetsk region.
Let us recall that Ukraine will purchase ammunition using funds raised through the UNITED24 platform. The Defense Procurement Agency has already signed a contract worth UAH 47 million. This is the first contract after the government gave permission to use the money raised on the platform for defense purchases.
