The first meeting begins Monday in London, and the second next week at the White House.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the UK on September 9-10. Next week, US President Joe Biden will host British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington. At the same meeting, one of the main issues was Ukraine’s support against Russian aggression, Voice of America reports.
The US State Department said Blinken’s visit was intended to “open US-UK strategic dialogue and reaffirm our special relationship.”
Topics for discussion include “joint efforts to support Ukraine,” as well as Indo-Pacific, Middle East and AUKS cooperation.
The White House also said that US President Joe Biden will receive British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington next week.
As mentioned, the leaders of the two states will discuss “Western support for Ukraine, which is trying to prevent Russian aggression, reaching an agreement on the release of hostages and a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel , and threats from the Houthis to transportation in the Red Sea.”
In addition, Biden and Starmer will pay attention to the situation in the Indo-Pacific region.
Let’s remember that in August, Keir Starmer ordered the country’s National Security Council to develop a plan for expanded support for Ukraine.
It was previously known that Great Britain did not allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles during the attack on the Kursk region, despite increasing pressure from President Vladimir Zelensky.
