His father reported the young man’s disappearance to border guards. The search, which involved a helicopter and drone, lasted 11 hours.
The Ukrainian Border Guard Service conducted a successful rescue operation in the mountains, where a 21-year-old man found himself in danger after attempting to illegally cross the border into Romania. The press service of the State Border Guard Service reported this on Sunday, September 8.
It was noted that the illegal border crossing turned into a four-day wandering in the mountains for the man. After watching video instructions about mountain treks, he decided to enter Romania illegally. However, as a result, he was lost in the forest for four days.
“Wild animals tried to attack him on the way, he was probably poisoned by water from a stream,” the report said.
His father reported the young man’s disappearance to border guards. The search, which involved a helicopter and drone, lasted 11 hours.
However, the border guards found the violator, fed him, gave him water and warmed him over the fire. Upon arrival at the border unit, an administrative report was made against him.
We remind you that in the Vinnytsia region, border guards of the Mogilev-Podolsk detachment noticed a man trying to swim across the Dniester to reach the coast of the neighboring country.
Also in the mountains in Transcarpathia, border guards and employees of the State Emergency Service rescued a 31-year-old resident of the Kherson region, who was planning to illegally cross the border and flee to Romania.
