Scholz spoke in favor of speeding up the transition to the peace process in Ukraine

According to the Chancellor, on the issue of the need for Moscow’s presence at the second world summit, Berlin agrees with the position of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke in favor of speeding up the transition to the peace process in Ukraine. He expressed his response in an interview with ZDF.

“I believe that now is the time to discuss how we can quickly get out of this military situation and achieve peace,” the head of the German government stressed.

In particular, Scholz supports Russia’s participation in the second “peace summit.” The first summit took place in June in the Swiss resort of Bürgenstock. According to the Chancellor, on the issue of the need for Moscow’s presence, Berlin agrees with the position of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

“There will definitely be another peace conference,” he stressed.

Scholz said he had an open conversation with Zelensky.

Earlier, Scholz said that for Ukraine there will be only a just peace and hard work is being done for it.

It was also reported that the United States would help Ukraine strengthen its position ahead of possible negotiations to end the war.
