The aggressor country Russia received more than 200 Fath-360 missiles from Iran.
On Wednesday, September 4, a Russian ship delivered Fateh-360 missiles to a port on the Caspian Sea, Ukrainian intelligence sources said, The Times reported on September 6. The information was published by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
It is noted that recently, US and European officials confirmed that Iran has begun supplying short-range ballistic missiles to Russia.
ISW believes that the occupiers may use Iranian missiles to strike Ukraine’s energy, military and civilian infrastructure in the fall and winter of this year.
ISW previously stated that Russia would likely receive short-range Ababil missiles (range up to 86 km) and short-range Fateh-360 missiles (up to 120 km). This would allow the enemy to use and stockpile less of its own Iskander missiles for combined attacks on distant Ukrainian targets.
Recall that on September 6, The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran had transferred its short-range ballistic missiles to Russia. It did not specify which missiles or quantities were involved. Iran has different types of such weapons, the range of which reaches about 800 km.
The US considers this information “alarming”.
