German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for finding solutions for the employment of refugees from Ukraine.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke to Ukrainians who temporarily settled in his country and encouraged them to find work. Tagesschau wrote this on Saturday, September 7.
In a conversation with residents of the city of Teltow, Scholz said that, in his opinion, many Ukrainians who receive support in Germany should work.
The Chancellor noted that the number of Ukrainians working has increased to more than 200,000 thanks to the government’s Jobturbo program.
“But there will be a few hundred thousand more, I guess. That’s why I want to see the job done,” Scholz said.
We remind you that earlier in Germany they proposed to cancel payments to unemployed Ukrainians. In addition, Germany proposed sending unemployed refugees back to Ukraine.
