The police arrived at the scene of the incident in the village of Staraya Kamenka. The object was most likely a weather balloon.

In the Polish village of Staraya Kamenka, not far from the Belarusian border, an unknown object with a Cyrillic inscription was discovered. The PAP reported this on Sunday, September 9.

The deputy coordinator of the Polish intelligence services, Jacek Dobrzynski, noted that the object was most likely a meteorological balloon.

“The police arrived at the scene and also brought a bomb disposal dog. We checked what the object was. Everything points to it being a weather balloon,” he said.

Another weather balloon was recently discovered in the area. This area probably has their flight zone.

Let’s recall that on August 26, during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, something, probably a drone, flew into Polish airspace. The object flew about 25 km deep into Polish territory and then disappeared from radar.

The overwhelming majority of Polish citizens surveyed (58.5%) support shooting down Russian air targets in Polish airspace.
