The soldiers of the 12th special forces brigade “Azov” were involved in the battles in the Toretsk direction in order to improve the tactical situation. The fighters are taking part in offensive and defensive actions in the settlement of New York and its environs. The “Azov” brigade reported this on September 6 in Telegram.
At the time the brigade was involved in combat operations in the direction, the situation on the combat line was catastrophic, the unit emphasized.
It is stated that the Azov troops managed to stabilize the situation, regain control of part of New York and unblock Ukrainian units that were surrounded by hostility.
The situation in New York remains tense now. The Russians conduct up to 15 assaults a day in the 12th Brigade’s area of responsibility. But the defenders are holding their ground and successfully counterattacking.
Azov emphasized that Russian statements about the complete occupation of New York are another manipulation. Ukrainian military still controls part of the settlement.
Recall that the DeepState project reported that Ukrainian troops drove the Russians out of the New York area in the Donetsk region.
