President Vladimir Zelensky named Russia’s military losses in the Kursk region.
Over the course of a month, during the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, the aggressor lost about 6 thousand soldiers killed and wounded. The head of state named the corresponding figures at a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format. The Office of the President broadcast the meeting on YouTube.
The president did not announce Ukraine’s military losses.
Zelensky stressed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces already control 1,300 square kilometers of Russian territory, including more than a hundred settlements. He added that thanks to the offensive on the Kursk region, it was possible to prevent the aggressor country from attacking Sumy.
According to the president, at the same time, the most combat-ready units of the Russian army are involved in expanding the occupation zone in the Donetsk region.
This is Moscow’s clear choice. Putin wants to occupy Ukraine more than to ensure security for Russia, the head of state noted.
Recall that on September 4, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is implementing all the defined tasks within the framework of its operation in the Kursk region. He emphasized that the largest replenishment of the exchange fund is in this area.
