The attack of the Russian “Shaheds” was repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
On the night of September 6, the enemy attacked with one Kh-59 guided air missile and one Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the airspace of the Luhansk and Bryansk regions. In addition, 44 Shahed-type attack UAVs were launched from Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and occupied Crimea. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces were called in to repel the enemy attack from the air. As of 8:00, 27 Shaheds had been shot down.
The military claims that eight more enemy drones were lost on Ukrainian territory. It is possible that they fell under the influence of electronic warfare systems. Another UAV turned in the direction of occupied Donbas.
Since the beginning of the day, air defense has been operating in the Kyiv, Kirovograd, Vinnytsia, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Kherson, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkov, Lviv, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Sumy regions.
At the time of publication of the news, an air raid alert was declared in the Kyiv region due to the threat of attack UAVs.
Let us recall that in Lviv Oblast all three Russian Shaheds that the enemy sent for strikes were shot down tonight. The UAV debris caused a fire in warehouses. And in Mykolaiv Oblast, falling debris caused a fire in an open area.
