The former commander of the Logistics Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleg Gulyak, was appointed acting general director of the joint-stock company Defense industry of Ukraine to replace German Smetanin, who headed the Ministry for Strategic Industries. The Supervisory Board of UOP decided to terminate the powers of the General Director of Ukroboronprom German Smetanin.
It is worth noting that he will continue to work in the interests of Ukraine and the development of the military-industrial complex in another position.
The supervisory board also decided to appoint a temporary general director – Oleg Gulyak, who has worked since July 1, 2024 as an adviser to the general director on military cooperation issues of Ukroboronprom.
The Supervisory Board promised to announce a competition for a permanent general director in the near future.
