In Rzeszow, Poland, about 60 law enforcement officers took part in capturing a wild elk that was walking around the city. The animal did not survive. RMF24 reported this on Wednesday, September 4.

According to the press secretary of the Rzeszow police, the animal was seen directly on the territory of the regional police headquarters around 5 am. The duty officer immediately informed all relevant services.

However, the moose left the fenced area and walked the streets of the city. At the same time, security services monitor the animal’s behavior to ensure that it does not threaten passers-by.

In total, about 60 law enforcement officers were involved in the special acquisition operation.

The animal is then sedated by a veterinarian so that it can be delivered safely. The elk did not survive after this.

We previously reported that a moose was spotted in the Partisan Glory Park, located in the Darnitsky district of Kyiv.

Also in the US state of Oregon, in Tillamook County, an elk killed a hunter who wounded him hours after the incident.
