In Germany, a crane fell on a bridge: there were dead and injured

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Blailoch Reservoir, where construction work has been ongoing for more than a year.

A crane fell off a bridge in the German state of Thuringia. At least one person died. This was reported by the Russian-language edition of the German tabloid BILD on its Telegram channel.

Two other people were seriously injured, police said. One of them is in serious condition.

“A crane at a construction site fell on the bridge of the B90 motorway, which runs over a dam near the town of Bad Lobenstein,” the report said.

The emergency call came in at approximately 11:40 local time. Emergency services rushed to the scene at Blailoch Reservoir, where construction to widen the motorway has been underway for more than a year.
