In Poltava, the number of people killed as a result of a ballistic strike by Russian troops has risen to 52.
At night, rescuers received the body of another deceased person, said State Emergency Service representative Alexander Khorunzhiy on the air of the telethon.
According to him, another 271 people were injured. The rubble clearance continues, with more than 200 rescuers and 50 units of equipment working at the site.
There may still be 13 people under the rubble of the building of an educational institution in Poltava, which was hit by a Russian missile the day before, said Svetlana Rybalko, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service of Poltava region, on September 4.
Of the 52 dead, 22 were freed from the rubble.
It is known that up to 13 people may be under the rubble of the six-story building of the educational building. At present, 800 tons of construction waste have been removed from the site of the shelling.
It is also known that three apartment buildings and five private houses, as well as an office building, were damaged, Rybalko told Obshchestvenny.
Let us recall that on the morning of September 3, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the Institute of Communications in Poltava. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that the strikes were carried out with a short interval, so “people were caught in the act of evacuating to a bomb shelter.”
