The Security Service of Ukraine will conduct an additional special check by the chief of staff of the command of the unmanned systems forces, Roman Gladky. This was stated on Tuesday, September 3, in a statement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Based on the results of a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Intelligence and Defense, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to conduct an additional special inspection of the Security Service of Ukraine by the Chief of Staff of Unmanned Systems Forces Command, Captain First Rank Roman Gladky,” the message said.
The General Staff added that during the inspection Gladky will be suspended from performing official duties.
It is known that the decision on an additional special inspection of the SBU by the Chief of Staff of the Unmanned Systems Forces Command, Roman Gladky, was made by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky.
According to DeepState, SBS commander Vadim Sukharevsky is against appointing Gladky, a suspect of treason, espionage and corruption.
According to media reports, Roman Gladky’s wife allegedly holds Russian citizenship and lives in occupied Crimea, and her daughter participates in swimming competitions for the Central Sports Club of the Russian Army. During the aggressor’s occupation of Sevastopol, Gladky left for the territory controlled by Ukraine, and his family remained on the peninsula.
A few days ago, the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces announced that Gladky passed the SBU inspection. They also ensured that he had the appropriate experience and education, in particular, he underwent specialized training in Canada, and at the beginning of the full Russian invasion he carried out tasks “in various important areas.”
In this regard, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that it did not conduct a check on Roman Gladky before his appointment to the post of head of the headquarters of the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, they clarified that the Service investigated Gladky in 2020 in connection with his access to state secrets.
