The National Security Council Committee will hold a closed meeting on the Russian attack on Poltava, which killed dozens of people.
This was reported on air by committee member Irina Friz on Radio Liberty. According to her, “behind any tragedy there is always a person, in this case officials.” The meeting will hear representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Air Force, the State Bureau of Investigation, the military-civil administration of Poltava Oblast, and the State Emergency Service.
The Ministry of Defence stated that the interval between the alarm and the missiles’ arrival was so short that it caught people in the act of evacuating to a bomb shelter.
The Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, will also investigate the circumstances of the deaths as a result of Russia’s ballistic strike on the military communications institute in Poltava.
There may be around 15 more people under the rubble after the Russian attack on Poltava, OVA Chairman Pronin said. He also said that more than 235 people are currently known to have been injured.
