The press service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine clarified that the fire occurred in the territory of the Holy Mountains National Park. According to the department, 1,500 hectares of forest burned and overturned residential buildings in nearby villages.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the entire invasion, approximately 9.5 thousand hectares of forest in the Holy Mountains National Park have been destroyed. Another 10 thousand hectares require inspection and neutralization of explosive objects. According to preliminary estimates, the estimated damage to the environment of the Holy Mountains National Park caused by the invaders is more than 16 billion Hryvnias.
In southern Croatia, a forest fire approaching a missile base and human settlements was contained.
Earlier it was reported that 68 natural fires were recorded in the territory of Yakutia in an area of more than 433 thousand hectares.
