It is known that this is the result of the successful cooperation of the governments of the countries. The deliveries were made with the help of PPD and MET Group.

“This event is an important step to expand energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia, serves to strengthen the continent’s energy security, demonstrating SOCAR’s commitment to diversifying energy sources for Europe’s domestic market,” the statement said.

Along with Turkey, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia, Croatia became the tenth country to receive Azerbaijani gas.

Last year, Azerbaijan exported 23.8 billion cubic meters of gas (an increase of 5.3% in 2022);

This year, gas exports from Azerbaijan are expected to be 25 billion cubic meters, of which 13 billion cubic meters will go to Europe.

Earlier it was reported that Azerbaijan offered Ukraine and the European Union to supply natural gas to Europe through the Ukrainian gas transportation system against the backdrop of the expiration of the contract with the Russian Federation.
