The citizen’s representative illegally crossed the border on August 23 near the Pavlovka checkpoint on the border between Ukraine and Moldova.
Law enforcement officials have identified and reported suspicion to three people who helped the People’s Deputy of Ukraine cross the border illegally. The Office of the Prosecutor General announced this on Monday, September 2.
The collected evidence proves that the citizen’s representative illegally crossed the border on August 23 of this year near the Pavlovka checkpoint on the border of Ukraine and Moldova.
“The method of transfer was carefully planned: the deputy left Kyiv in the direction of Odessa and in the Razdelnyansky district of the Odessa region changed into another car, which took him to the border with the Transnistrian section of Moldova There he left Ukraine ,” the report said.
The organizer of the illegal border crossing, as well as the person who brought the people’s representative to the border, were notified of the suspicion in absentia in connection with their hiding.
Another participant in the scheme, who acted as a guide, was detained. The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being decided.
The actions of the defendants are qualified under the article on organizing the illegal transportation of people across the state border of Ukraine by prior conspiracy of a group of people (Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Searches were conducted in the residential areas of scheme participants. Investigative and procedural actions are ongoing.
The department did not name the representative of the people, but the circumstances of the case point to Artem Dmitruk.
We remind you that on August 25, the media reported that People’s Deputy Dmitruk fled to Moldova. Before that, he claimed on his Telegram channel that the suspicion was being prepared for him. The deputy called it “an attempt to deprive him of the opportunity to carry out political activities.” He also complained that, supposedly, he had been taken by the special services.
Later, the Office of the Prosecutor General said that the MP was informed of the suspicion of attacks on a law enforcement officer and a military man. According to media reports, it is about Dmitruk.
On August 29, it became known that Artem Dmitruk was placed on the international wanted list.
