Ukraine, in the third year of the war, is introducing sanctions against Russia’s aviation infrastructure and partners.
President Vladimir Zelensky on Sunday, September 1, introduced sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council against collaborators, as well as companies and people involved in ensuring the operation of Russia’s aviation infrastructure. The head of state announced this in an evening speech.
“Today I signed several new sanctions decisions – NSDC sanctions on almost 150 entities – legal entities and individuals that ensure the operation of Russia’s aviation infrastructure,” Zelensky said.
Another package of sanctions concerns collaborators.
“Sanctions are against those who chose to work for evil – for war and the task for all representatives of Ukraine is to do everything to ensure that Ukrainian sanctions are synchronized with international sanctions,” conclusion of the head of state.
These orders and decisions of the National Security and Defense Council have not yet been published.
As reported, Zelensky also said that Ukraine is working to ensure that as many Russian military facilities as possible are accessible to attacks by Ukrainian UAVs.
