Russian troops shelled the city of Kurakhovo in Donetsk region.
On Sunday, September 1, the enemy struck a populated area with Uragan multiple launch rocket systems. Hits were recorded in the private sector and high-rise buildings in the city center. The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadim Filashkin reported this on Telegram.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that three civilians received injuries incompatible with life as a result of the shelling and died on the spot. Another person died in the hospital while receiving emergency medical care.
Five women and three men also received injuries of varying severity. They were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds. Apartment buildings, private houses and cars were damaged in the city.
Police said 11 people were injured in the Russian attack on Kurakhovo, with some in serious condition.
Law enforcement officers have begun a pre-trial investigation into a criminal case on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war – Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Recall that on August 31, Russian troops shelled the town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region, killing at least five people. Enemy shells hit a private home and a multi-story building.
