The introduction of compulsory military training in higher educational institutions of the occupied Crimea is causing serious concern to students and their families.
Before the start of the new academic year, the “Crimean Federal University”, controlled by the Russian occupiers, introduces compulsory military training for all 3rd year students. The Yellow Ribbon movement reported this on Saturday, August 31, on Telegram.
The module plans to “teach students not only the theoretical foundations, but also practical skills that can be useful in military conditions.”
According to information provided by university representatives, students will be taught by “combat veterans and participants in special military operations.”
Partisans noted that the Russians are actively spreading this practice among students on the peninsula.
“Our activists report that this change has been officially announced in several institutions: physics and technology, communication and relations, and even philology,” the message said.
Activists called to let them know if there was similar information about other educational institutions in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
Earlier, the media reported that Ukraine was “preparing the ground” for future attacks on Crimea. The chances of their success increased after receiving the F-16 fighter jet.
