The Cabinet of Ministers decided to terminate the Agreement between the Ukrainian and Russian governments on the organization of a direct secret telephone line between Kiev and Moscow dated February 27, 1998.

The agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Russian government on the organization of a direct, classified telephone line between Kiev and Moscow, concluded in Moscow on 27.02.1998, has been terminated, he wrote.
The explanatory note to the resolution states that it was developed by the State Special Communications Administration to implement the action plan for Ukraine’s withdrawal from bilateral and multilateral documents with the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
