The Prime Minister of Armenia emphasized that as long as the bilateral format works effectively, he considers its continued use correct.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference on Saturday, August 31, that he considers the “bilateral format” of negotiations on a peaceful settlement with Azerbaijan correct. Radio Azatutyun reported this.
Speaking about the negotiations on the conclusion of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, Pashinyan said that cooperation with Baku takes place in a bilateral format, and “this format has somewhat demonstrated its effectiveness.”
He mentioned the joint declaration of the two states from December 2023, as well as the agreement on the demarcation of some border sections concluded in April this year.
The prime minister of Armenia emphasized that as long as the bilateral format works, he considers it right to continue using it.
“I also told the President of Russia about this in our last telephone conversation,” Pashinyan said, adding that at the same time he does not rule out working with other formats, without specifying which one he said.
Let’s remember that in May Pashinyan said that two CSTO countries helped prepare the war against Armenia. At the same time, he responded to the words of Alexander Lukashenko, which he said during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on May 16.
Pashinyan made a sharp statement about Belarus and Lukashenko
