Local residents said at least four to five explosions were heard in Belgorod. Smoke rose in one of the city’s districts after the attack.
The official also reported about the missile threat in Belgorod and Belgorod region, Shebekino and Shebekinsky districts.
“Our air defense system worked in Belgorod and the Belgorod region – several air targets were shot down on the approach to the city,” said Gladkov.
He confirmed that one person died due to a direct bullet hit in a car.
According to him, as a result of the strike, “seven civilians were injured.”
“According to preliminary information, in the city of Belgorod there were direct hits on the MKB, several commercial facilities and a passenger car. In the Belgorod region, in the village of Dubovo, two private houses are on fire,” concluded Gladkov.
