Emergency power outages were introduced on August 30 in 16 regions of Ukraine due to the difficult situation in the power system.
Power engineers continue to eliminate the consequences of the missile and drone attack that the Russians carried out on August 26. Emergency power outages are being implemented in Kiev and the Kiev, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhia, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odessa regions. Previous restriction schedules are not currently in effect. This was reported by NEC Ukrenergo.
Consumption remains high due to the heat in most areas. On August 29, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the afternoon. It was at the same level as the previous day, the company noted.
After the cancellation of emergency shutdowns in Kyiv and the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Zaporizhia, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi, Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa regions, the restrictions will be applied as follows:
- 00.00 – 18.00 – two stages of shutdowns;
- 18.00 – 21.00 – three stages of shutdowns;
- 21.00 – 24.00 – two stages of shutdowns.
And in the western regions (Lviv, Ternopil, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia and Rivne) the restrictive measures are applied as follows:
- 00.00 – 6.00 – one turn of shutdowns;
- 6.00 – 9.00 – two stages of shutdowns;
- 9.00 – 14.00 – one turn of shutdowns;
- 14.00 – 18.00 – two stages of shutdowns;
- 18.00 – 21.00 – three stages of shutdowns;
- 21.00 – 24.00 – two stages of shutdowns.
Let us recall that on August 26, during the Russian attack, three of the four power units of the Rivne NPP were disconnected from the grid. Due to fluctuations in the country’s energy system, a power unit at the South Ukrainian NPP was also disconnected.
