Hale and three of his accomplices were exposed as accepting bribes for permission to remove mining equipment from the front-line region.
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court remanded in custody former Deputy Minister of Energy Alexander Heil, who was imprisoned for accepting bribes. The press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported this on August 30.
It is noted that after hearing the arguments of the parties, AP VAKS supported the position of the prosecutor and refused to satisfy the appeal of the defense, leaving the decision of the investigating judge unchanged.
Let’s recall that on August 12, in Kyiv, law enforcement officials exposed the Deputy Minister of Energy Alexander Heil and three of his accomplices for accepting a bribe of 500 thousand dollars for permission to remove the equipment in mining from the front-line region.
The court chose a preventive measure for Heil – detention until October 8 with the right to post bail of 25 million Hryvnia.
