The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized the need to urgently provide Ukraine with the promised military aid.

The European Union will accelerate the supply of weapons and equipment for Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced this on Thursday, August 29, after a meeting with foreign ministers of EU countries in Brussels.

“I appreciate the willingness of my colleagues to take the necessary steps to expedite these deliveries,” he said.

According to him, EU countries have pledged to intensify efforts and provide additional equipment for Ukraine’s energy systems.

Kuleba also welcomed the readiness of some EU member states to respond to Ukraine’s call to lift restrictions on the use of weapons on all legitimate military targets in Russia. The allies promised that they would discuss this with their colleagues.

Vladimir Zelensky said that the provision of military aid packages to Ukraine from Western partners should be accelerated.
