Removal of restrictions by international partners on the use of long-range weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation will help Ukraine to end the war as soon as possible, they believe in Kyiv.
Ukraine’s permanent representative to the UN, Sergei Kislitsa, called on members of the Security Council to consider making a decision on allowing Ukraine to launch long-range strikes deep into the Russian Federation against legitimate targets. Ukrinform reported this on Wednesday, August 28.
“We encourage you and all partners to consider taking two specific decisions to help us stop fearing Russia sooner,” Kislitsa said.
He explained that we are talking about recognizing the right of Ukraine to conduct long-term strikes on all legitimate military targets on Russian territory and attracting air defense partners to shoot down missiles and drones of Russia located near their airspace.
Kislitsa noted that none of these decisions will lead to an increase.
“On the contrary, they will contain Russia, reduce fear and the number of victims,” he added.
Ukraine and Poland discussed the transfer of Polish MiG fighters to the Ukrainian military. The second issue of the negotiations is the creation of a Ukrainian school in Warsaw.
