Telegram founder Pavel Durov was charged in France, after which he was released under judicial control, but with a ban on leaving the country. The Paris prosecutor’s office reported this on Wednesday, August 28.
According to Reuters, Durov was released on bail subject to the payment of 5 million euros, visits from the police twice a week and a ban on leaving French territory.
The court’s decision came four days after Russian-born Durov was arrested at an airport near Paris.
