The Russian Sapphire electronic warfare system was destroyed in the Kursk region.
The electronic warfare station was located at the invaders’ positions. It was discovered during reconnaissance of the area under enemy control. The command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook on August 28.
The Special Operations Forces noted that the Russian Sapphire was hit by attack drones. The enemy’s electronic warfare was destroyed, and the enemy suffered casualties in killed and wounded.
As is known, the Sapphire electronic warfare system can detect a drone at a distance of 30 km, and electronic warfare counteraction begins at a distance of 5 km from the system when the drone approaches. The Russians claimed that this system can suppress even ground control stations for UAVs.
Let us recall that in July, during reconnaissance, special forces discovered 15 Russian boats of various types in the Kherson direction. Drones with a drop system were used against the enemy watercraft. Thus, the boats were destroyed.
