Vladimir Putin complained about the “destructive line” of the Kyiv government and its “Western patrons”.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the phone with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. One of the main topics was his recent visit to Ukraine, Modi said on social network X on Tuesday, August 27.

“Discussed steps to further strengthen the special and privileged strategic partnership. Exchanged views on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and my conclusions during my recent visit to Ukraine. Reaffirmed India’s strong commitment to support a speedy, sustainable and peaceful resolution of the conflict,” the Indian Prime Minister wrote.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin confirmed that Modi informed about his visit to Kyiv, “emphasizing his interest in making a contribution to a possible political and diplomatic settlement of the situation around Ukraine.”

In turn, Putin told Modi about “the main Russian strategies regarding ways to resolve the conflict.” He also complained about the “destructive line” of the Kyiv authorities and their “Westerners.”

As you know, on June 23, Narendra Modi made a historic visit to Ukraine. In a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky in Kyiv, he said that India stands for achieving peace in Ukraine through diplomacy. At the same time, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state must be respected.

Ukraine and India also agreed on four cooperation documents.
