Commander-in-Chief Syrsky reported for the first time the number of prisoners in the Kursk direction of Russia – 594 Russian servicemen.
He added that the Defense Forces control 1,295 square kilometers of Russian territory and about a hundred settlements. He said this during the Ukraine 2024 forum.
In addition, the commander-in-chief stated that Russia is not withdrawing troops from Ukrainian Pokrovsk because of the Kursk operation, but on the contrary is concentrating its efforts there.
Meanwhile, Russia has transferred about 30 thousand troops from reserves and other directions to the Kursk direction.
The occupiers have reduced the pressure in the south of Ukraine, having moved some of their troops to Kursk region. In total, about 30 thousand Russian troops have been transferred to this direction, Syrsky said.
