In early August 2014, during the fighting in eastern Ukraine, the 95th brigade carried out the longest raid in the military history of the world. American military expert Philip Carber said that the paratroopers broke through the separatist line of defense, marched to Mariupol, returned along the border, destroyed several Russian artillery battalions that were already on the Ukrainian side of the border, took away their weapons and inheritance.
