One meeting was initiated by Ukraine and its partner countries from the members of the UN Security Council, and the second by Russia.
The UN Security Council will hold a meeting on August 28 regarding Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine that was carried out on Monday. This was announced by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Sergei Kislitsa on the social network X.
According to him, Ukraine and partner countries from the members of the UN Security Council initiated a meeting of the Council to consider the latest events in the course of the aggression of the Russian regime against Ukraine and their consequences.
“The events of this Monday will be in the spotlight. Everything said by the Russian terrorists will be not only part of the official minutes of the meeting, but also the subject of consideration by future criminal tribunals in the war led by their Kremlin Fuhrer,” the diplomat wrote.
In this regard, DW reported that on Friday, August 30, at the request of Russia, the UN Security Council will also hold a meeting on the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine.
Let’s remember that on August 26, during the most powerful Russian attack, the air defense shot down 102 Russian missiles and 99 drones from 127 missiles and 109 UAVs launched. Seven people died and 47 were injured. Damage to energy facilities was recorded in several areas.
