On the night of August 27, Russians attacked Ukraine with 81 attack drones and 10 missiles.
The occupiers struck with various types of missiles and attack UAVs:
- three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles;
- Iskander-M ballistic missile;
- Iskander-K cruise missile;
- 5 X-101 cruise missiles;
- 81 Shahed-type attack UAVs.
The Air Defense Forces shot down 5 Kh-101 cruise missiles and 60 Shahed UAVs. As of 9:30, when the Air Force announced a night operation, combat operations were ongoing and about ten drones were still in Ukrainian airspace.
Another 10 drones were lost (probably crashed).
Combat operations were carried out in most regions of the country: in the Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kherson, Nikolaev, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytsky, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhitomir, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kirovograd regions.
