On August 26, the aggressor country Russia launched more than 100 missiles and about 100 Shahed kamikaze drones at Ukraine.
This was one of the largest combined strikes. There are dead, dozens of wounded. There is a lot of damage to the energy sector. But wherever there is a power outage, restoration work is already underway. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this in an operational summary, which he published on Facebook.
According to him, the Russian strike was aimed at critical civilian infrastructure in most regions from Kharkiv and Kyiv to Odessa and the western regions. The consequences of the shelling are currently being eliminated across the country.
Putin is true to himself: he is a sick creature – it has been clear to everyone for a long time. But it is also clear: he can only do what the world allows him to do. Weakness, the inadequacy of response decisions feeds terror. And every leader, every partner of ours knows what strong decisions are needed to stop this whole war and stop it fairly, – the head of state noted.
Zelensky stressed that there cannot be any range restrictions in Ukraine when the Russians do not have such restrictions. The President demands that Western allies make decisions that Kyiv needs.
Recall that Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal reported that the Russian army attacked energy infrastructure in 15 regions of Ukraine on August 26. In a number of regions, hits were recorded, people were killed and wounded. Both civilian and critical infrastructure was damaged.
