Russian military personnel have been blocked for several months at the assembly plant in Volchansk, Kharkiv region.
At the very beginning, there were about 40 servicemen there. They will suffer losses there. They have both dead and wounded. There are wounded lying down, there are wounded who can fight. A certain number of them remain there, I cannot say the exact number for certain reasons, – said the representative of the operational-tactical group of forces “Kharkov” Vitaly Sarantsev.
The Russians continue to use drones to perform logistical tasks, including on the territory of the aggregate plant.
Russian troops launched a new offensive across the border in the northern Kharkiv region on May 10, 2024, but were stopped by Ukrainian forces. The battle line runs in particular through the northern part of the city of Vovchansk.
It became known back in early June that the Defense Forces had blocked a large group of occupiers at the aggregate plant in Volchansk. It was then reported that the occupiers were starting to run out of supplies.
On June 1, the plant’s fire control was cut off from the rest of the city.
In early August, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russian forces were preparing to storm the aggregate plant in Vovchansk. Recently, it became known that Ukrainian troops began a counterattack in the Kharkiv region.
