From September 1, a new Polish ambassador will work in Ukraine – former Polish military and diplomat, security expert Piotr Lukasiewicz.
Poland replaced its ambassador to Ukraine. This was announced by Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski, FRM24 reports.
According to him, from September 1, a new Polish ambassador will work in Ukraine – former Polish military man and diplomat, security expert Piotr Lukasiewicz.
Wronski added that in recent days many new Polish ambassadors have started working in other countries. We are talking, for example, about Jan Tombiński after the EU in Ukraine in 2012-2016. He became Poland’s ambassador to Germany.
Poland’s new Ambassador to Ukraine, Piotr Łukasiewicz, is a political scientist, diplomat, and reserve colonel of the Polish Armed Forces. In 2012-2014, he served as the Polish Ambassador to Afghanistan, and in 1995-2006, he worked on issues of state security and the fight against terrorism.
The diplomat also served in stabilization missions in Iraq in 2004-2005.
Lukasevich will replace Yaroslav Guza, who arrived in Kyiv in the fall of 2023.
Let’s recall that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, dismissed the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasily Zvarych, and appointed him Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
