The Ukrainian Defense Forces woke up in the Sudzha region of the Kursk region of Russia.
Geolocation footage released on August 22 shows that Ukrainian forces have recently advanced further into the southern part of Ruska Konopelka, east of Sudzha. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have also advanced north of Martynivka, northeast of Sudzha, along the R-200 Sudzha-Sukhodolivka highway, according to a new report from the US-based Institute for the Study of War.
According to Russian sources, there is also unverified information about military actions to the east of Sudzha in the area of the settlements of Samoryadovo and Kozyrevka. ISW believes that mobile groups of Ukrainian troops are probably operating in this area.
Also, some so-called war correspondents reported the advancement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the north of Martynivka.
Meanwhile, analysts from the DeepState project updated the map on the night of August 24 and reported that the Ukrainian military had achieved success east of Sudzha.
Let us recall that on the evening of August 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the battles in the Kharkiv region with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky and after that stated that the Defense Forces are gradually displacing the Russian occupiers of this region.
