It will become easier to receive social assistance in Ukraine.
Currently, to receive various types of social support from the state, a citizen is forced to submit a whole package of different documents. At the same time, most of them have been digitized and are already in state databases. Therefore, documents will not be required if they are in the database. The Cabinet of Ministers made the corresponding decision on August 23, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on Telegram.
Therefore, we are making a decision that social security agencies will not require people to provide any paper documents if they are already in the database. This simplifies people’s lives and also provides transparency and efficiency of state aid, he noted.
The head of government added that the construction of a digital one involves absolutely all areas – education, economics, medicine, and the social sector.
Let us recall that in July the Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill proposing to increase certain taxes. In particular, the military tax will be increased from 1.5% to 5% and will be extended to sole proprietors. In addition, a military tax will be established for legal entities in the amount of 1% of income from any activity. Excise tax will be introduced on mineral and carbonated waters with added sugar and other sweetening or aromatic substances at a rate of 0.1 euro per liter.
