Earlier, the Indian side announced that it will share with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky the prospects for a peaceful resolution of the war with Russia.
The visit of the Prime Minister of India is taking place at the invitation of President Zelensky.
Modi’s arrival comes nearly six weeks after his controversial trip to Moscow, which drew criticism from the United States and some other Western allies.
This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since the country gained independence in 1991.
