In a number of settlements in the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, due to the threat of Russian shelling, a forced evacuation of children with their parents or other legal representatives was announced.
In the Donetsk region, all children were evacuated from 90 settlements. At the same time, another 4,912 minors remain in 30 front-line settlements in Kramatorsk and Pokrovsky districts. This was announced on Wednesday, August 21, by the head of the Donetsk OVA, Vadim Filashkin.
He noted that the police, rescuers and charitable organizations evacuated the residents of the Donetsk region to safer regions.
Filashkin emphasized that the situation at the front is becoming more complicated and at the same time the humanitarian situation in the region is worsening.
“It is important for us and our Western allies to remember this,” he said.
